Essex-headquartered construction and engineering company Statom Group has reported another year of significant growth, stable margins, and robust balance sheet, atop a “record” order book offering high visibility across the next financial period.

Amid soaring costs, a labour deficit, and regulatory pressures across the UK construction sector more generally last year, Statom prioritised “focus and agility”, by consolidating commercial management, nurturing supply chain relationships, and investing in digital systems, to improve its ability to forecast outcomes, manage costs, and boost productivity.
In a recent financial statement, bosses said these measures had resulted in a notable improvement in oversight, accuracy in reporting, and liquidity management, allowing Statom to enter FY2026 with a stronger balance sheet and project pipeline.
Group chairman, Tommy Brown continued to provide strategic oversight, including client relationships and governance, while group CEO, Stan Nikudinski drove the overall vision, operational delivery, and group culture, as well as integration of Statom’s expanding divisions.
The leadership team was further strengthened in FY2025 with the appointment of Gavin Hunt as chief development officer (CDO), and new CFO, Kevin McNair in December.
Other improvements include the introduction of enhanced financial monitoring processes, real-time performance reporting, and a refreshed internal audit and assurance framework, which improved visibility and operational efficiency.
“The strengthened leadership team and governance initiatives implemented during FY2025 provide a robust platform for disciplined growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation,” bosses said.

FY2025 also saw Statom significantly enhance its technical and operational capabilities, with the acquisitions of Apex Core Engineering and Franki Foundations UK, each expert in advanced design and deep foundation work, as well as Slipform Engineering.
Additionally, the group’s diversification strategy, which prioritised increased activity in markets currently in receipt of high public and private investment, including infrastructure, ports, civil engineering and energy, significantly reduced Statom’s historic reliance on the residential market, which had been subdued – though residential construction would remain a “significant and important” part of the business.
Revenue for the year ended 30 November 2025 increased by £24.2 million to £184.2 million, as demand across infrastructure, civil engineering, and specialist foundations remained robust, while gross margins decreased slightly from 9.7 per cent to 8.9 per cent.
Operating margins, at 4.9 per cent, were behind FY2024, reflecting Statom’s heavy investment in systems, technical expertise, new offices and plant and machinery.
Cash generation remained strong throughout the year, with a positive closing net position of £21.3 million.
Statom exited FY2025 with a record secured order book worth more than £617 million, approximately 3.3x annual revenue, providing high visibility into FY2026 and early FY2027.

Across its group companies, Statom is engaged in a range of sectors, including civil engineering and groundworks, demolition, design, MEP, piling, RC frames, remediation, tower cranes, and slipform construction.
“Throughout the year, Statom has continued to strengthen its position as one of the UK’s most capable and diversified construction and engineering groups,” a financial statement reads.
“Despite a challenging macroeconomic environment, Statom has maintained strong momentum, supported by operational excellence and diversification into higher-value and more resilient market sectors.
“Statom will continue to build on the strong foundations established during FY2025 combining innovation, technical excellence, and sound governance to deliver value for all stakeholders.”
In addition to offices in Crawley and Thurrock, the group acquired a 9,000 sq. ft office in London Bridge in 2024 which became the management hub of the business to support its next phase of growth.
