Cambridge House, 94 Piccadilly – A Landmark Restoration Project
HD Construction is proud to play a key role in the prestigious redevelopment of Cambridge House, one of London’s most iconic historical buildings, situated at 94 Piccadilly. Our team has been entrusted with delivering the internal drylining and finishing works, critical components in the transformation of this heritage site into a luxury 102-room hotel that blends classic elegance with modern sophistication.
This exceptional project is more than just a renovation—it is a revival of history. Formerly known as the Naval and Military Club, and long before that, a residence for British aristocracy including Queen Victoria, Prime Minister Lord Palmerston, the Duke of Cambridge, and Lord Cholmondeley, Cambridge House holds centuries of rich legacy within its walls. The building, a Grade I-listed Palladian-style townhouse, is being meticulously restored to preserve its architectural grandeur while integrating contemporary features that meet the highest standards of modern hospitality.
Our scope of work focuses on achieving the highest quality of internal partitions, wall linings, ceilings, and finishing details. Working within the constraints of a protected structure, HD Construction combines traditional craftsmanship with modern construction methods to deliver results that are both aesthetically stunning and structurally precise. Every detail is approached with sensitivity to the building’s historical importance and commitment to excellence.
As the redevelopment progresses, Cambridge House is set to become a new benchmark in London’s luxury hotel scene—a refined, private retreat in the heart of the city, infused with heritage, culture, and modern luxury. HD Construction is honoured to contribute to this landmark transformation, helping bring a new chapter of life to a building that has long stood as a silent witness to British history.
