The group said it has “traded well” in the year to 26 April, supported by prior investments that improved sales processes and strengthened its order book.
Persimmon remains on track to deliver a pre-tax profit of £462 million and 12,000-12,500 home completions in 2026, with more than half of private homes and nearly all housing association homes already secured.
Net private sales per outlet per week, excluding bulk sales, rose three per cent to 0.67.
Private forward sales climbed seven per cent to £1.80 billion, contributing to overall current orders of £2.46 billion, up from £2.34 billion last year.
The company also highlighted its “strong” land bank and a more disciplined approach to new land acquisitions.
Of its plots, 3,080 achieved detailed or reserved matters approval in the first quarter, up from 2,781 in 2025.

Group chief executive Dean Finch said Persimmon has started the year well, and while the ongoing conflict in Iran and global uncertainty has not yet had any material impact on trading, the company is monitoring early signs of rising inflationary pressures in the supply chain, particularly from higher energy costs.
Enquiries are said to have softened slightly in the last few weeks, however, sales have remained “resilient”, with “positive” engagement with affordable and build-to-rent sector clients.
“We are carefully monitoring the situation, driving sales across all brands and tenures, maintaining flexibility and a rigorous focus on cost control and cash generation, whilst being supported by a robust balance sheet,” said Finch.
“Our three strong brands, unique vertically integrated model and high-quality landbank continue to differentiate Persimmon and position us well for growth into the medium term.”
The housebuilder recently announced a series of senior appointments, including Darren Dancey as group operations director, Julian Roper as group construction director, and Rob Hart, Phil Moir and Gillian Baird to regional leadership roles amid its strong order book growth.
