Mott MacDonald has posted strong financial results amid a backdrop of economic and geopolitical volatility while also updating the group’s employee-ownership model.

For the year ended 31 December 2025 Mott MacDonald achieved a turnover of £2.48 billion (FY2024: £2.51 billion) underpinned by a pre-tax profit of £107.8 million (FY2024: £123.2 million).
The group also generated an operating profit of £89.6 million, a slight drop from £100.6 million the previous financial year due to enhancing its employee ownership model and “cooling market conditions”.
Last year the company announced it would be improving the model, introducing an integrated reward system which combines fixed salary and personal performance and group bonuses.
Mott MacDonald Group chief executive and chairman, James Harris said: “The past year has seen us firmly respond with agility to cooling market conditions and the persistence of a complex operating environment.
“Importantly, we have taken great strides in modernising our business over the last 12 months that position us well for future growth, particularly when market conditions improve.
“In April, we announced that we were enhancing our employee-ownership model with improvements designed to empower our colleagues and foster a culture of shared success and collaboration. Our employee ownership is central to who we are.”
