While revenue for the year ended 31 December 2024 decreased by 27 per cent, to £44.1 million, compared to £60.4 million the year prior, Lindner Prater reported a pre-tax profit of more than £3.2 million (FY2023: £2.9 million loss).

And while net assets for the Surrey-headquartered facades contractor grew during the period, to £10.68 million (FY2023: £7.58 million), the business also returned a robust cash position of more than £7.7 million, compared to £2.6 million in 2023, without any external borrowing on its balance sheet.

Bosses said the dip in revenue during the period was largely due to delays on a significant transport infrastructure project – however gross margin was not hindered, increasing to more than £11.7 million from £6.1 million the year before.

“The company continues to work with blue chip main contractors and clients, providing specialist building envelope solutions involving roofing, cladding and curtain walling activities,” a financial statement reads.

“Looking ahead, the company’s order book […] shows good prospects across various sectors including, stadia, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

“This positions the company well to capitalise on future opportunities in the construction market, maintaining a geographical spread across the UK.”

Lindner Prater’s key market sectors include, infrastructure, stadia, health, commercial, defence, transport, education, and power.

Operating profit climbed significantly from a £2.8 million loss in 2023 to more than £3 million profit last year.

Profit for the year was also more than £3 million, compared to a £2.9 million loss the year before.
