Luxury fit-out specialist Portview celebrates huge profits by focusing on ‘quality workmanship’ for blue chip clients

High-end, luxury fit-out specialist Portview is celebrating huge profit margins, supported by strong revenue growth, as the company continues to focus on delivering ‘quality workmanship for blue chip customers.

For the year ended 30 November 2024, Portview reported a 48 per cent rise in revenue to £110 million, up from £74 million the year prior, underpinned by a 26 per cent boost to its operating margin, resulting in an operating profit of £28.1 million (FY2023: £7.6 million). 

Alongside significant revenue growth, gross profit increased from £14.7 million in 2023 to £34.7 million last year, generating a gross margin of 32 per cent (FY2023: 20 per cent).   

“We are pleased to report a strong trading performance for the year ending 30 November 2024,” bosses said. 

“Underpinning this performance was a continued focus on quality throughout our activities.  

“It is our passion for perfection that drives us to deliver fit-out projects of the highest standard for some of the world’s most prestigious brands.”

Portview Fit-Out, based in Belfast, brings 50 years of specialist interiors expertise to projects across the UK and Ireland and a range of sectors. 

These include for Arsenal FC, where Portview collaborated with design consultancy 20.20 to transform 14 executive boxes into the Avenell Club luxury lounge. 

For Harrods, the firm delivered the luxury designer shoe boutique Shoe Heaven, over a 38-week period.  

Following its delivery of the Regent Street store in London, Portview delivered the first store in Paris, France, for the luxury accessory and lifestyle brand, Kate Spade. 

Other major businesses and venues Portview has performed fit-out services for include Somerset House, Tottenham Hotspur, Harvey Nichols, Fortnum & Mason, and the ExCeL Arena. 

“We pride ourselves in setting new standards in fit-out excellence by championing innovation, creativity and quality to deliver our promise of ‘getting things right, first time, every time’ for our clients, people and projects,” bosses said. 

At the year end, the company’s balance sheet showed an improved cash position of £30.3 million, coming up significantly from £11.1 million in the prior trading period.
