He described the transition as “the right time for a leadership handover”.

Hutchinson’s transition sees Warren Thompson also join later this year as managing director of Stonebridge Homes.
Thompson will join from Keepmoat Homes, where he is regional managing director for Yorkshire West.

In the interim, Ed Hutchinson will continue to oversee SBH, alongside Jenny Purple, the current national disposals director at the group’s strategic land business, Hallam Land, in a leadership role until Warren arrives.
“I’m looking forward to working with the team to build on that success and support the next phase of its development,” said Thompson.
On Thompson’s new role, Roberts commended his experience in house building and “strong track record” of delivering growth.
He added: “Stonebridge Homes remains an important part of Henry Boot’s future growth strategy, and I believe Warren’s appointment will help us unlock the business’s huge potential.”
Henry Boot has laid the groundwork for future growth through a strategic reshaping of the business and key leadership appointments.
This included Hamer Boot, the great, great grandson of its founder, becoming managing director for the group’s development business, HBD.
