Mace Consult has appointed Nicola Henderson-Reid as head of rail – Middle East and Africa (MEA), based in Riyadh, as the consultancy accelerates its international growth following a recent demerger from Mace Group.

Henderson-Reid brings extensive experience from her tenure at HS2 Ltd, where she worked on major projects including Curzon Street and Euston stations.
Over more than 10 years, most recently as head of programme delivery and delivery director, she oversaw one of Europe’s most ambitious high-speed rail projects, valued at £7.2 billion.
She has also held senior roles at Arcadis, which she joins from, as senior director – head of project and programme services in Riyadh, and at Network Rail, including nearly nine years as project manager on enhancement projects such as the Rail Electrification Alliance (REAL) and Transpennine Electrification, with an overall budget of around £500 million.
In her new role, Henderson-Reid will lead the delivery of large-scale rail programmes across the MEA region, applying her UK rail expertise to drive connectivity, sustainability, and transformative infrastructure initiatives.
On LinkedIn she said: “I am delighted to announce that I have joined Mace Consult as Head of Rail – Middle East and Africa (MEA), based in Riyadh.
“Having collaborated with Mace as the delivery partner on major programmes including the landmark Curzon Street Station and Euston Station during my tenure at HS2 Ltd, I am now privileged to join their team in driving forward transformative rail programmes across MEA.
“I’m very much looking forward to working with [MEA managing director (MD)] Christopher Seymour and the wider team at Mace Consult and collaborating with rail clients, partners, and industry leaders across the region.”

The appointment comes not long after Mace Consult became a standalone entity, supported by a majority investment from Goldman Sachs Alternatives.
Chief executive officer (CEO) Davendra Dabasia, who leads an expanded leadership team including chief financial officer Nick Pulford, MD for global operations Dan Easthope, and MD for Europe Zoe Price, said the business is targeting £1.2 billion in revenue by 2030, focusing on global infrastructure and transport markets.
Meanwhile, Mace’s contracting arm, Mace Construct, now a separate entity led by CEO Jason Millett, is undergoing a leadership reshuffle and will soon adopt a new name as it focuses on the UK market.
