Facilities management group acquires UK arm of US mechanical and electrical services firm in £190m deal

The UK arm of a US-based mechanical and electrical services firm has been acquired by facilities management company OCS Group in a £190 million deal, broadening its reach across critical sectors in the UK and Ireland.

The acquisition of EMCOR UK, which has a turnover of £332 million, strengthens OCS’s engineering and technical services.

With its expertise in mechanical and electrical maintenance, energy management, and compliance support complementing OCS’s capabilities in sectors such as government, healthcare, life sciences, defence, and commercial property.

Completion is expected by the end of 2025, subject to regulatory approval, with both companies remaining independent until then.

Once finalised, the deal will make OCS one of the largest providers of hard services in the UK and Ireland, significantly expanding its team, with integration planning already underway.
