Williams, who joined Derwent London in 1987, just three years after its founding, became CEO in 2019 and has played a key role in the company’s success, including as executive director, where he led its portfolio of prime London assets.

Reflecting on his tenure, Williams expressed pride in the achievements made throughout his career.

It has been a huge privilege to have been part of the Derwent story and to have had the opportunity to lead the business over the last six years,” he added.

I have many fond memories – of our great achievements, successful deals and, importantly, the many relationships I have made both within the business and across the industry.

“I would like to thank my fellow directors and all the team for their continued hard work and support.

Williams will remain in his role until a successor is appointed, with the search process already underway.

Chairman Mark Breuer praised Williams’ leadership, noting the company’s strong market position and development pipeline, which will ensure continued success.

He said: “During his distinguished career, including his tenure as chief executive, he has made an outstanding contribution to Derwent London.”
