Family-owned Collen Construction has surpassed €1 billion in revenue, reporting a 79 per cent increase, driven by strong demand for data centres, as well as energy distribution and generation across Europe.

Collen, one of Ireland’s largest family-run construction groups, has reported significant growth for the year ended 31 March 2025, with group revenue surging to €1.18 billion, up from €660 million in 2024.
While profit after tax rose to €42 million from €18.2 million in the previous year.
The company, headquartered in Dublin, also maintains no bank debt and “significant” net assets.
Chief financial officer Leslie FitzPatrick credited the growth to Collen’s broad portfolio and consistent investment in the business, its people, and financial discipline.
With a strong order book, the company expects continued demand in sectors such as data, technology, infrastructure, energy, housing, and healthcare.

“Our 2025 performance reflects the breadth of our portfolio and the work delivered by our committed teams across all of the regions in which we operate,” said FitzPatrick.
“We expect demand in the data and technology sectors to remain strong, with additional opportunities emerging in critical infrastructure, energy, residential and healthcare.
“Our order book provides a solid platform for the year ahead.”
Employing more than 5,000 people across its supply chain, the eighth-generation business is gearing up for further expansion, announcing the appointment of Mark McGreevy as chief executive officer earlier this month.
McGreevy brings three decades of industry experience to the job, having previously held a range of senior roles across multiple sectors in the built environment for companies including John Sisk & Son and the Sisk Group as chief operating officer and chief commercial officer.
He starts in January as Collen plans its next phase of growth.
