Royal BAM Group has launched a €40 million share buyback, building on revenue growth as its UK construction arm continues to recover following a profit rebound.

The programme, part of BAM’s shareholder remuneration strategy, will run until 30 September 2026.
It follows a first-quarter trading update which stated it expected to see higher revenues and adjusted earnings, supported by contract wins and long-term frameworks, particularly in energy and civil engineering.
The profitability of its UK construction division, which was at £27 million, was also said to be continuing to improve following a £24 million deficit in 2024, supported by careful project selection and efficient delivery.
Recent contracts include the £71.8 million Wales High School in Sheffield, the £56 million Eastwood Park Leisure Centre, theatre, and library in Scotland, alongside its inclusion in the £15 billion CF25 Department for Education school framework.
BAM, which primarily operates in five European home markets – the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany – while its international division handles specialist infrastructure and marine projects worldwide, recorded €7 billion in revenue in 2025.
Of this £3 billion comes from the UK and Ireland.
Its total order book remains at €13 billion, underpinned by projects in energy transition and defence.
Chief Executive Ruud Joosten highlighted the company’s market opportunities, saying: “We see strong market opportunities driven by the accelerating need for energy transition, investment in infrastructure and defence, and the growing demand for sustainable and affordable housing, areas in which we have demonstrated market-leading capabilities.”
