Skanska UK has announced a new senior appointment to its construction division.

James Davies will join the company as divisional director from 1 September, to drive strategic growth in regions, defence, and healthcare.
Reporting directly to executive vice president Terry Muckian, Davies will oversee key construction projects regionally within the UK, bringing to bear his more than 20 years’ experience delivering complex projects across the built environment.
He said: “Skanska has a strong legacy in the UK, having delivered significant projects across the commercial sector as well as critical national infrastructure.
“The company’s culture, international reach, and the variety of projects currently underway is exciting, and I’m eager to get started.
“I also look forward to building strong relationships with our supply chain and customers, working closely with teams across the UK business to create new opportunities for growth.”
Davies’ appointment follows the announcement Dean Sporn will join Skanska in the new year as operations director within its infrastructure business, having spent the last eight years as director of enhancements within the major projects division at National Highways.
Muckian added: “James brings a wealth of experience and strategic vision that aligns perfectly with our ambitions. His proactive approach, customer focus and deep sector knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to solidify Skanska’s leadership position in these dynamic markets.”
