Vistry Group has announced the appointment of a new managing director for its Southern and South East regions.

Rod Martin joins the FTSE 250 housebuilder from Cala Group, where he spent almost two years, latterly as managing director.
Before that he was divisional managing director at Redrow, where he was employed for two-and-a-half years.
Prior to joining Redrow, Martin was at Taylor Wimpey for two-and-a-half years, again as divisional managing director, looking after the South East division.
Speaking about his new role as MD for Vistry Southern and South East, Martin said: “I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across both regions. My priorities are to support our people, strengthen our development capabilities and deliver greater value for our partners.”
Vistry recently reported a weaker first-half trading performance, with 6,100 homes completed in H1, down from 6,889 last year.
The group expects to deliver a pre-tax loss in H1 of around £30 million, due to fewer partner deals reaching completion as well as the timing of land sales.
However, bosses are hopeful for an improved H2 performance, due to a “strong” order book of £3.9 billion and 80 per cent sold for the 2026 financial year.
Rob Woodward was recently appointed chairman, while former regional boss Adam Daniels became CEO, succeeding Greg Fitzgerald after he retired.
“We’re pleased to welcome Rod Martin to Vistry as managing director for our Southern and South East regions. He brings more than 25 years’ experience in housebuilding,” said Vistry.
